I would like to thank everyone at Sheridan on behalf of my mum, for the wonderful way that she was cared for. She was treated with love and care, and was able to preserve her dignity right up until the end. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her carers, and her smile when they entered the room said it all! She told me that she was lucky to be living in such a friendly, happy and safe place.
We have been so impressed with the wonderful care at Sheridan since mum moved in. She looks a different person. So the biggest thank you is for looking after her so well and making Sheridan – for mum not a home but just home.
I cannot recommend Hillside House highly enough. Both care and home should be written large and underlined. The genuine care and compassion shown by every member of staff not just to my father but also to me and my family were second to none.
The staff go out of their way to individualise my mum’s care and provide a stimulating environment for all the residents. Hillside House has a home-from-home atmosphere that is far removed from any institution and it is a pleasure to visit my mum there.
I have been at Sheridan House for almost four months. I have a generously sized room with a balcony and lovely views over the sea to Berry Head. The staff are kind, helpful, and efficient and have coped with all the problems of lockdown in an amazing way. In their care full time, they are encouraged to join in the entertaining social program which is arranged for us. Thanks to management and staff.
Mum came initially for respite care following a fall and was adamant that she wasn’t going to stay long. Three years later and she is still there, and happy as a sandboy.
My mother has been in Brandon House for nearly ten years and she has been extremely happy. The home is well run and the care, kindness and respect given to her by all the staff has been excellent. Brandon House has a very homely atmosphere and the residents are encouraged to join in activities, but only if they wish.
Wonderful position room overlooking fields and animals, pleasant outlook. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful, lots of smiley faces. Excellent food, like staying at a nice hotel. Nice to be able to bring your own personal effects; like photos, ornaments and pictures to make it feel more homely.
My mother has had excellent care since she moved into Brandon House. We could not wish for better carers who are friendly, helpful and treat the residents with dignity. There is a good range of activities which are both physically and mentally stimulating. I could not have chosen a better home for my mother who is very happy with her care and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone else.
We have been extremely impressed by the care and professionalism on every level. We feel our mum is in very good hands and has been very well cared for through the Covid period.
Kind, friendly, helpful staff; spacious, bright, well-equipped rooms; beautiful surroundings. We were so lucky that a room was available so that high-quality care and attention could be put in place, making a difficult time the best it could be.
I am very happy at Sheridan House. We are encouraged to join in the activities provided, they are varied and fun. The staff are kind to all and just like a happy family. Nothing is too much trouble.
At the age of 100, my father made the reluctant move to Sheridan House. It has proved to be an excellent decision, as he settled in immediately thanks to the care and attention of the wonderful staff. The Home enables him to continue with his own lifestyle, meeting all his wants and needs.
The family are delighted with the care and attention he is given and no longer worry about him.
I came to Brandon House because I was unable to live alone as I was continually falling. The care at Brandon House is very good and I am well-looked after.
All the staff at Brandon House, who are looking after my 95yr old mother with dementia are really caring people who go out of their way to make sure she is happy and secure. Outings are organised and ‘in home’ activities. Meals are good and varied. During visits, I am always made to feel welcome.
I am very happy here and the staff (including the owner) are very caring. We are all made to feel ‘special’ and the residents (now my new friends) are lovely people.
