The Property

Brandon house is a delightful property which has been thoughtfully modernised and extended to provide comfortable, charming accommodation. The property is a large, detached house set within an acre of gardens. The property dates back to 1902, constructed of brick under a pitched slate roof.

The accommodation is split over two floors with lifts providing easy access to all areas of the building. As part of the extensive modernisation programme the property has received two extensions to the original building. Both extensions are two storeys and have been thoughtfully designed both inside and out to maintain the aesthetics and character of the original building. The first of the extensions being built in 1984 and the second being built in 2002, allowing the home to provide high quality living accommodation for up to 35 people.

The Gardens

The home is set within an acre of gardens which have been landscaped to provide beautiful areas of tranquility around the home. The main garden is laid to lawn with flower beds that are stocked with a variety of herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees.

There are plenty of areas for sitting and enjoying the garden from the terrace.  To the front of the home there is an enclosed court yard garden, offering a wonderful arrangement of potted plants and trees, with tables to sit and enjoy a cup of tea in the summer months, some alfresco dining.

The Accommodation

The accommodation and living areas within the home are elegantly designed and furnished for all to enjoy and socialise with family, friends and visitors.

The accommodation is split between ground floor and first floor levels, with a combination of stairs and passenger lifts providing easy access. All bedrooms are of generous proportions with full en-suite facilities, assisted bathing is also available using our four specially equipped bathrooms. Each room has TV, a private telephone line and a nurse call system. All rooms are furnished to a high standard although residents are encouraged to bring personal items  such as pictures, ornaments and pieces of furniture.

The communal lounges are situated on the ground floor, giving views across our gardens, where residents may choose to join in the activities, watch TV, listen to music, or simply sit and enjoy each other’s company.

Community

We are proud of the communities within our homes. There are many celebrations, activities and events taking place. So that we can share these with family and friends we run a Facebook page for each of the homes, where we post pictures and videos. The pages act as a blog of daily events within the homes.
