Residential Care

Residential Care

We provide our residents with the quality of care and support that we would expect for our family and ourselves.

Our family, caring for yours

Residential care is a term used to describe general care and support provided in a standard elderly care home. It usually involves help with basic needs such as washing, dressing, mobility assistance and so on.

Residential care is often provided for people that may have difficulty living independently, however some older people prefer to live in a residential care home due to it providing security, social interaction and ongoing support and assistance that is unobtainable through care at home. People often have the misconception that residential care is a “last resort” and only need a care home when they are very unwell or completely unable to manage. However there are many people that simply enjoy the many benefits a care home has to offer. By letting us take care of the day to day stresses it allows residents to enjoy their hobbies and spend time with family, friends and loved ones.

The benefits of residential care.

  • Residential care provides a helping and caring environment for people struggling with daily living tasks.
  • Our homes provide an activity program to keep you mentally and physically stimulated, designed to improve your wellbeing.
  • Our homes ensure that you receive a nutritious and balanced diet with fresh seasonal ingredients.
  • Social interaction and community with others experiencing a similar situation.

A personalised approach to care

In a Brandon Care home, our home is your home and, as such, residents are able to personalise their rooms with their own possessions. We believe in a person-directed approach, where we assume that all decisions belong with the residents or as close to the residents as possible. We endeavour to create a culture that is flexible enough to meet the individual’s needs, desires and pleasures. Our residents can direct their own lives and we have the joy of supporting their decisions and helping them to continue living their lives the way they choose.
